Minnie`s Restaurant in Allegan

Ordered the hot roast beef sandwich with mashed potatoes and gravy...it was awesome. Really was homemade. Lots of meat..gravy..and potatoes. Will go back for that every chance i get.

Minnie's is a landmark restaurant in Allegan and is a great source for classic diner foods. The decor and the staff are both charming and welcoming. Definitely worth a visit.

Depending on how busy the are. Your service is really fast or really slow. If they are busy I understand the slower service. The food is always good though. Food has almost no flavor. Unless you add it yourself. Through salt and pepper. Bland food isn't always bad. Feels like you get what they cook. Through Gordan food servives. And I don't know that's who they get it through. But, really make it your own. Not something bland. To serve the masses.

Ordered a mini skillet for 4.99 and have to pay .30 for homemade bread. Very small breakfast. I'm leaving hungry. I ordered a side of bacon because I'm still hungry, but the waitress never brought it. The sugar we needed and asked for was never received either. This town really needs a decent restaurant. I regret to say this is not it.

Delicious food and as always a fast and VERY friendly staff! Love this place for every meal and occasion.

I didn't get what was ordered. Potatoes were way undercooked and toast was half done and soggy.3rd time here and consistently bad. Will never eat at this dump again

My first time in the place after some long time staff left. The two, maybe 3 working tables this morning couldn't keep up.They are having difficulty finding wait staff? Cooks? and it shows. Food was okay except for some minor chef details like presentation which resulted in the return of the dish. They did make it right by offering to remake but we had already waited 45 minutes. So, if you're not in a hurry, and willing to keep an eye on your order the price is fare, the staff are friendly, and the food is good. I will visit them again.

Best breakfast in allegan cant beat steak and eggs for $7-8.00. I was not disappointed. Downfall is they only serve breakfast.

The coffee was good. The server was friendly and fast. The food was ok. The sausage gravy on my omelet lacked sausage as was for the flavor. Slightly bland for my taste. There was plenty of hashbrowns inside. Maybe whisking the egg would bring a fluffier appearance. Overall it was flavorful.

Amazing old town breakfast joint! Delicious food (try the breakfast skillet), good-sized portions, and good prices. I hope to visit every time we vacation in the area.

A great little hometown breakfast place, only thing holding back my 5th star is our group of 5 wanted to stay and visit but our check was delivered to the table and the coffee refills stopped without a question if we were ready. There wasn't anyone waiting for the table either so it was kind of a bummer. Will give it another chance though.

Low price great service

Nice place! The service was great, food was decent. I got fish wrap and fries. The wrap included cheddar cheese, a little too much tartar sauce and lettuce. The fries were perfectly crisp, but nowhere near burnt. Great place to go for a quick bite

Cutesy small hometown diner feel. Pricing was reasonable too. Had the biscuits and gravy with toast and scrambled eggs. Biscuits were a little too sweet for my liking but foods not bad.

First time stopping into this ‘hometown’ atmosphere restaurant. A friend from out of town and I decided to walk the downtown area of Allegan, she had never been and I usually am always in a hurry, so had never been here before. What a pleasant surprise!! Great homemade food at a very reasonable price. Service was great, friendly staff. We both Loved it and will be back.

Understated and casual spot for breakfast and lunch...food is delicious, service is fast and friendly. Olive burger was cooked to perfection, which is uncommon, especially for people like me who request "medium rare." Pecan pie, warmed to perfection, was the best I have had. Seriously.

Great food!!! Love the spinach omlete. They make a great waffle! Not frozen!! I usually pick up my order because I have had issues with running late if I go in to eat. Worth the wait if your arent on a strict schedule. Highly recommend.

Pretty good food. I ordered to go, and it was really quick considering how busy they were. Service was great. Very friendly staff. Environment was clean. Prices are fair. I walked down there but doesn't look like there is alot of available parking.

We have breakfast here once a year on our trip going north. Nice place for breakfast.

Delicious turkey sandwich on foccasia bread made with their homemade coleslaw. The sandwich was perfect for lunch. The fry portion was small but tasted good. If they served this with a side of quinoa or slaw in addition it would be a 5 star meal in my opinion.

Great Quiche breakfast and the buttermilk pancakes were good as well. Good service as always!

Very nice breakfast only..... restaurant in Allegan..Nicely decorated..food was good..waitresses attentive..but it is BREAKFAST only..I would reccommend.

Quaint, small-town friendly, good food

Normally I love going to Minnie's but my experience this past Sunday was odd and unexplainable. My son and I were there at 1:30 PM and the waitress brought us two breakfast menus. I asked if they were only serving breakfast to which she said yes. Okay. That's fine. BUT...after breakfast I saw on the chalkboard a list of pie choices. We both wanted a slice. "Sorry. We don't serve pie on Sunday". Really???

Great food and friendly people

This was my first time here. I was not impressed, the waitress was all smiles but not very friendly. I waited 50 minutes for breakfast. Waitress never came by and asked if I wanted a refill of water or pop. I understand they were busy but it's breakfast. I don't see myself returning.
